Every sourcing technology customer we talked to wants a single
solution that will cover all spend categories.
We never found such a solution, and we don't think you will either.
Some spend categories are simply too complex, too difficult to
master, or too specialized for a general-purpose tool to cover.
The vendors listed below recognize this and have chosen to focus
on quite specific categories. All in all, we think they do a good
job, so good that we think they're worth considering and using even
if you have committed to a single broad-based solution. The advantages
you'll get within these spend categories simply overwhelm the disadvantages
of having muliple platforms.
