capabilities in sourcing derive from its purchase of Aspect
Development two years ago. Aspect's primary business was (and
is) helping customers rationalize their lists of component
items and item suppliers. Aspect had developed a good BOM
RFQ and optimized award capability. Improvements on this,
plus some workflow, make up a strong product for direct materials
(and spare parts) sourcing.
